How do our online courses work?

If you are already a student with us at NCHP you will know how we work. Our courses are at masters level and this extends to our online courses.

What does this mean for you?

It means that our courses are a jumping off point, we will guide you and there is a lot of information included in our courses, however we do expect wider reading and for you to develop your own standpoint on the issues raised. We want you to consider the impact of the topics discussed on your own practice or your own development as a therapist.

What courses do we offer online?

If you are on one of our UKCP pathways, some of your learning will take place here. There are currently 5 online modules which you are expected to complete as part of the UKCP requirements. These are:

  • Equalities and Diversities
  • Human Development and Sexuality
  • Psychopathology
  • Research Methods
  • Safeguarding

Other than safeguarding which is a completely self-paced course and can be taken at any time, the courses run approximately three times per year and there are three elements to these.

  1. Self-study of the course material including wider reading
  2. Contribution to the online classroom held through google classrooms where you can share your throughs and discussions with fellow students
  3. Submission of assignments at the end of the course in order to gain your certificate

What other courses can I take online?
